Meridian Financial Partners was formed by joining experienced and trusted advisors that have a common goal; serving clients’ ongoing financial needs at a high level.  “When we formed our team, we wanted advisors and support staff that shared our core values and are committed to the service model that our clients’ have been accustomed to”, says Managing Partner Steve Rowan.   He went on to say, “We look for those same values when adding financial professionals to our team as well.”  Meridian Financial Partners has clients in 19 states and works with individuals, small business owners and Fortune 500 companies.  They are committed to providing objective financial advice and solutions to help you or your business achieve your goals.

Steve is the Managing Partner of Meridian Financial Partners and is currently in his 20th year as a financial advisor. He began his career at Ameriprise Financial in 2003 and held multiple leadership positions during his time there. When he arrived at Minneapolis Financial Group in April of 2009, he was asked to lead a team of new and experienced financial professionals as well as serving his own clients. Steve works in many areas including retirement income planning, investment and risk management, estate planning, and executive benefits. He currently holds his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation.

Steve has served on multiple boards including the Concordia University Alumni Council and the Sales Manager Advisory Board.  He was recognized in 2012 as “Advisor of the Year,” by Minneapolis Financial Group and named a Partner since his initial year joining the firm.  He also qualified for “Management Council” in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Steve grew up in Lakeville, MN and went on to attend Concordia University in Saint Paul, MN where he attained his BBA in Finance and Marketing Management.  During his time at Concordia, he played football and served as captain his senior season while also meeting his future wife. He now resides in Gem Lake with his wife and three daughters. Steve likes to stay busy in his spare time by working on projects outdoors, golfing, and taking family trips to the cabin.  He also serves as the Girl’s Director for the White Bear Basketball Association.

Jesse has been in the financial services industry for 11 years and is a trusted advisor to his clients. He continues to assist his clientele with sound financial strategies while keeping his clients goals and objectives in mind. He assists individuals, families, business owners and professionals with income protection, retirement, and estate planning strategies by utilizing many different products and investment options to make the most efficient plan a reality.

Jesse graduated from Hastings High School in 2003. After High school he went to Wichita Falls, Texas to play Junior hockey for the Wichita Falls Rustlers in 2003-2004. After the completion of that year he attended St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in Winona where he participated 4 years on both Varsity Hockey and Golf teams and graduated in 2008.

Jesse now resides in Prior Lake, MN with his wife (Sarah), son (Jarrett), Daughter (Jaylah) and their 3 dogs Black Lab (Sydney) Red Fox Lab (Bailey) and German Shepherd (Nala). Jesse and Sarah also own Wagging Tails Pet Resort in Eagan, MN. During his spare time you can find him with family and friends as well as staying active and competitive playing hockey and golf as well as annual hunting trips with Sydney and Bailey.

Carl joined the firm in June of 2011. One of the primary focuses of Carl’s business is assisting young families with retirement planning, college funding, cash flow management, and addressing insurance needs. Additionally, Carl serves his more experienced clients in their pre-retirement investment needs and retirement income strategy planning, as well as estate planning and Long Term Care insurance analysis.

He believes in a dedicated, long-term approach to investing where goal accomplishment is more important than year-over-year rates of return. Utilizing a team approach to financial planning is critically important to Carl – if questions go unanswered, finding solutions becomes priority one for all of his clients. He works with attorneys, CPA’s, and insurance specialists to help create practical solutions for his clients. Carl graduated from Luther College in Decorah, IA with a degree in Business Management and a focus in Finance, and was also a member of the baseball team and Student Government during his tenure there.

Carl grew up in Brooklyn Park, MN, and now lives in New Hope, MN with his wife Emilie and their dog, Corah. He is the Vice President of the Brooklyn Park Rotary Club, the President of the Brooklyn Park Umpires Association, a member of the Palmer Lake VFW Post 3915 Auxiliary, and is involved in numerous local church-related activities. In his spare time, Carl enjoys boating, fishing, playing baseball for the St. Louis Park town ball team, and relaxing at home with his family, preferably watching hockey or baseball.

Britt has over 18 years of experience as a Financial Advisor although his passion and interest by financial markets started much earlier in life. He comes from a long lineage of investors, including his great-grandfather, Sidney Sholley, who co-created Keystone Investments, one of the United States’ first mutual funds in 1932. Britt works hard to earn his clients’ trust and enjoys building relationships with clients all over the country. He currently holds his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) and his Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation.

 

He serves a wide array of clients including individuals, families, and organizations. Britt takes the time to listen to the unique needs of each of his clients and brings a personable style to financial advising. He helps individuals optimize their retirement income, investment, risk management and estate planning. Britt guides corporate leaders understand the complexity of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) options in their employer sponsored plans. Additionally, he assists employers with talent retention through executive benefits.

 

Originally from Boulder, CO he attended Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN where he attained his BA in Business Management and played on the Baseball team as a pitcher. He served in various leadership roles in the Gustavus Investment Club and as a board member for the Lowry Building in downtown Saint Paul. He now resides in Saint Paul with his wife, two daughters, and their English bulldog, Daisy Loo. In his spare time, Britt enjoys skiing, golfing, broomball, photovoltaic systems, and spending time with his family.
